How a Candidate Is Selected to Participate in the Oral Interview
The written interview is commonly known as a shortlisting interview, meaning that only candidates with higher scores are invited to the oral interview.
For example, if 20,000 candidates are called for the written interview and the number of available job positions is 500, the shortlisting process will follow a 3:1 ratio to determine the number of candidates who proceed to the oral interview before job placement. In this case, only 1,500 candidates out of the 20,000 will qualify to attend the oral interview.
Therefore, candidates are advised to aim for top scores, as there is no fixed pass mark. In some cadres, only candidates who scored 84% and above are selected (for example, Chemistry Teachers IIIC), while in other cadres candidates with scores as low as 64% may be selected (for example, Biology Teachers IIIC).
