The long-awaited Mock Examination results 2025 - Matokeo ya Mock Darasa la Saba 2025 Dar es Salaam for Standard Seven pupils, held on May 18, 2025, have officially been released. Thousands of students across Tanzania sat for these important preparatory exams, which are designed to assess their academic performance and readiness ahead of the National Examinations later this year.
The Mock Exams serve as a critical benchmark for both students and teachers, helping identify areas that need improvement before the final Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). According to early analysis, this year’s performance shows a steady improvement in subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science, compared to the previous year.
Education officers from several regions reported that while there was overall progress, some schools in rural areas still face challenges such as inadequate learning materials and shortage of qualified teachers. However, the Ministry of Education has assured stakeholders that steps are being taken to address these issues before the national exams in October.
In Dar es Salaam, the top-performing student in the Mock Exams scored an impressive average of 96%, a result that has drawn praise from educators and parents alike. “These results are not only a reflection of individual effort, but also of school commitment and parental support,” said Mr. Juma Hassan, a regional education coordinator.
Teachers are now using the results to guide remedial lessons, focusing on students who performed below average. Parents have also been encouraged to work closely with teachers to support their children’s learning, especially during this crucial period.
As the countdown to the National Examinations begins, the Ministry continues to urge schools to emphasize discipline, attendance, and early preparation. The Mock Exam results have set the tone for what is expected to be a competitive and high-performing PSLE season.
